100 Noble Energy jobs to be cut

The decline in crude oil prices mean that 100 staff at Noble Energy’s plants in Greenley and Denver will be cut.

Despite the cutback, Noble Energy’s base for all onshore operations will be located within Northern Colorado’s DJ Basin. The basin, which includes Weld County’s Wattenburg Field, is where the company produces the majority of its oil.

The company plans to cut another 120 jobs from its operations in Texas and Pennsylvania.

On Monday, crude oil was selling for $52.14 a barrel, down 51 percent from its peak of $107.26 in June.
