LT Environmental gets environmental excellence award

DENVER -LT Environmental (LTE), an environmental engineering firm, won the prestigious VZ Environmental Award for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship at the third annual Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Awards.

The Rocky Mountain gala ceremony was held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel on March, 10. Hundreds of oil and gas executives gathered to celebrate companies who excel in the key areas of operational excellence, innovations in technology, health and safety, corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

Daniel Creasey, CEO of the Oil & Gas Awards, lauded LTE, which is a recognised consultant in engineering, environmental, health and safety, and construction management for a wide variety of projects. LTE services are offered in the oil and gas industry, transportation, commercial development, and various other private and public sector entities.

The VZ Environmental Award for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship recognises efforts, initiatives, and technological developments that have minimised or eliminated the environmental footprint of the oil and gas industry.

“Receiving an award like this shows our dedication to providing the best service to our clients and the environment,” said Tom Murphy, president of LT Environmental. “We work hard to make sure that what we do eliminates environmental liabilities for our clients, that’s why receiving this award among other top competitors is a tremendous accomplishment for us.”

The firm strives to be a steward of the environment by using compressed natural gas vehicles that promote cleaner air and reduce greenhouse gases; finding innovative solutions for remediation through solar powered systems in remote areas; designing mitigation systems to capture fugitive methane gas and convert it to electricity; and through TerraCert, an innovative approach to the in-situ remediation of soil and groundwater.
