Norner raises capacity for autoclave testing of polymers for oil & gas industry
Global polymer service provider and technology company Norner has invested in a new test house for ageing in demanding environments and has also increased its capacity for autoclave testing of polymers.
The expansion comes as a response to the rising demand for polymer and elastomer testing in different aggressive gases and fluids under high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) using tailor-made autoclaves.
The Norway-based company now offers more autoclave options with sizes ranging from 400 ml up to 5 liters.
Norner strengthens its foothold in the oil & gas industry at a time when there is a rising demand for cost-efficient, lightweight and durable solutions. The development and use of lightweight and durable polymer solutions for the oil & gas industry is increasing.
Polymers offer material advantages such as insulation, buoyancy and corrosion protection. Polymers enable the opportunity to replace materials while meeting the industry’s demanding requirements.
“We provide testing according to international standards at high temperature and pressure, functional testing and specially designed test programs. We ensure that the samples are tested in such a way that they simulate the specific environment and conditions relevant for the application such as H2S, CH4 and CO2. The facility is already very popular among our clients.” says Henning Baann, Business Director at Norner.
