Encycle Corporation launches alliance with Japanese licensee

Encycle has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with BCC Japan, Ltd., a company cooperating with Asahi Shokuhin Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s leading food and beverage producers and distributors.

The alliance between Encycle and BCC enables BCC to grow a massive energy services business throughout Japan utilizing Encycle’s patented Swarm Logic technology.

“This partnership opens up an entirely new and significant geographic market for Encycle,” said Robert Chiste, Encycle’s President and CEO.

He added, “It provides a perfect fit, benefiting Japanese commercial and industrial electric consumers with powerful energy savings. Our objective is to expand Swarm Logic’s installed base by partnering with influential, established international companies which align well with our values, social responsibility initiatives, and corporate strategy. This type of relationship accelerates our initiative to support sustainability programs, adopted by many Fortune 500 companies with major international operations.”

Under the terms of the license, BCC is responsible for marketing, sales, operational support and manufacturing in the Japanese domestic market.

Masahiro Wada, President of BCC, commented: “We chose to work with Encycle because of their powerful Swarm Logic technology and positive customer experience.   Japan represents a significant market of opportunity as our energy costs are some of the highest in the world. Moreover, we use electricity to provide both heating and cooling in Japan, therefore energy savings will provide year-round benefits to our customers.”

In Japan, Encycle’s technology is known as Smart AERO, for Smart Automatic Electricity Reduction Optimizer. Asahi Shokuhin already manages many of their food production and distribution facilities using Smart AERO IoT technology.   “We have seen substantial demand reductions, resulting in demand energy savings of 20 to 30%,” said Mr. Takeuchi, Chairman of Asahi Shokuhin Co., Ltd.
