Malaysia to host Asia’s first 5-in-1 power & energy show
Against the backdrop of Malaysia’s huge potential in renewable energy resources, especially with the new roadmap for energy transition known as the Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap (RETR) 2035, the inaugural 5-in-1 Power & Energy Series featuring POWERGEN Asia, Asian Utility Week, DISTRIBUTECH Asia, SolarVision and Energy Capital Leaders Asia will be held from 3-5 September 2019 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
The event will involve 350 exhibitors, and is expected to draw over 11,000 visitors and 2,000 international buyers, spreading over 22,000 sq m at the venue, for insights on practical strategies towards achieving renewable targets, while addressing the key issues of energy security across the region, according to the organizer Clarion Energy.
The event will gather together major players in the power and energy fraternity, with one show covering the whole value chain focused on conventional and renewable generation, to transmission and distribution, to its digital transformation and including the financing of the energy transition by industry. It is endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change Malaysia (MESTECC) and hosted by the nation’s premier power supplier, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
The establishment of the Power & Energy Series is in line with MESTECC’s energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives.
