Pahang government urged to build more power plants
The Regent of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah wants more bio-gas power plants to be built in the state as they would benefit the people, economically.
He said by having more of such plants, it would help to resolve the electricity and water issues in the state, especially the rural areas.
“It’s not just bio-gas plants, but also other green technology projects because Pahang is rich in natural resources with potential to generate more renewable energy,” he said.
Tengku Abdullah said this during the launch of the bio-gas power plant owned by Cenergi SEA Sdn Bhd (Cenergi) and Tanah Makmur Berhad (TMB) in Sri Jelutung, here.
Also present was Cenergi’s executive director Datuk Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.
