Philippine pipes producer Neltex adopts clean energy in Cavite facility
Philippine-headquartered PVC piping solutions and building products manufacturer, Neltex is tapping the country’s largest geothermal energy producer Energy Development Corp. (EDC) to provide power for its production facility in Dasmariñas, Cavite. EDC is sourcing the power from its Sorsogon, Bicol-sited Bacon-Manito (BacMan) Geothermal project.

Neltex said it aims to make its production sustainable. The partnership with EDC , thus, makes it the first in the industry to be powered by renewable energy.
EDC, a subsidiary of Philippine clean energy firm, First Gen Corp, also provides green energy supply to global automotive parts company, including Continental Temic Electronics Philippines for its Laguna facilities. Its portfolio includes natural gas, geothermal, solar, wind, and hydro.
